How to use the website traffic checker

Type a domain such as daraz.pk and press Check popularity. In a moment you see where the site stands among the top million websites in the world, how many different networks link to it, whether Chrome sees enough real visitors to measure it, and what share of its visits come from phones, computers and tablets. A full link or a subdomain works too: the website traffic checker looks up the domain that was registered.

What a site's traffic really is, and what anyone can know

Only a site's owner knows its exact visitor numbers, from their own analytics. Every tool that shows monthly visits for any website you type is estimating, usually from a panel of people who installed a browser extension, and those estimates can be far off for smaller sites. We would rather show you numbers that are real than a guess dressed up as a fact, so this website popularity checker reports two public signals that track popularity well.

  • World rank by links. The Majestic Million orders the top million sites by how many different networks link to them. Sites with big audiences attract links from all over the web, so a high place is a strong sign of reach. The list is updated daily, and we show how the rank moved since the last update.
  • Chrome's real-user report. Google lists a site once enough Chrome users who share usage statistics visit it, so simply being listed means real, regular traffic. For listed sites it also shows the split between phones, computers and tablets, and how quickly the main content loads for those visitors.

How to read the website ranking

A rank in the top 1,000 means a household name; the top 10,000 is a very well-known site; the top 100,000 a popular one; the top million a site with a steady following of its own. Most of the web's websites are not in the list at all, and that is normal for a new, local or niche site.

If the site is listed in Chrome's report, check the device split before you plan a redesign: when seven visits in ten come from phones, the phone version is the real front page. For the speed those visitors get, open the Speed section of the same check, also on its own page as the website speed test.

Privacy and limits

The rank list is stored on our own site and split into small files, so your lookup downloads one of them and nobody else learns what you checked. Chrome's report is read through our server, because Google's service needs a key. Rank data comes from the Majestic Million by Majestic, licensed CC BY 3.0, and the real-user data from the Chrome UX Report by Google, licensed CC BY 4.0. See the privacy page for more.

Questions

Can I check website traffic for a competitor?

Yes. Everything here is public, so you can compare any sites. Compare ranks and device splits rather than trying to guess visit counts.

Why is my site not ranked?

It is outside the top million by links. Earning links from other sites and growing your audience moves you up; there is no shortcut.

What replaced the Alexa rank?

Amazon closed Alexa's ranking in 2022. Open research lists and Chrome's own data are the closest free signals today, and that is what this site traffic checker uses.
